About us
Today’s vehicles are filled with high-tech systems. In order for you to repair and service today’s and tomorrow’s vehicles, you need the right tools. That is where Autocom comes in.
Autocom develop and manufacture various products in the field of vehicle diagnostics.
We collect, structure, and package vehicle data into user-friendly software and hardware. Our ambition is to make your work as an automotive mechanic as easy as possible, so that you can deliver safe vehicles to satisfied customers.
It is only when we understand our users that we can develop products that have not yet been requested and thereby make a real difference.
That’s how we stay at the forefront. That’s how we create products that are right.
It all started with a man and his vision
The vision to provide workshops with the possibility to service and repair all kinds of cars using a universal and professional diagnostic tool was what inspired Bengt Andersson to start Autocom in 1991.
Today we develop top-level diagnostic tools for cars, buses and trucks, and in the future we will add tools for new types of vehicles to our product range.
The development and production facilities of Autocom are situated in Trollhättan, in the western part of Sweden, the heartland of the Swedish automotive industry.
Autocom is owned by the Würth-group from Germany, with operations and retailers all over the world.
“Autocom shall develop and sell innovative, user friendly and reliable diagnostic solutions together with information, training and support to the global automotive aftermarket.”
Collaborations
With the right vehicle data, a range of services can be developed that can, for example, improve safety, reduce emissions and optimise maintenance and servicing. Together with our customers and innovative partners, we are developing new solutions in a number of different fields. By gathering and processing the desired raw data and monitoring the vehicles in real time, the possibilities are limitless if you ask us.
Vehicle electronics are developing rapidly. That’s why we want to communicate directly with vehicle manufacturers, to make sure our products meet the same requirements and speak the same language as the vehicle electronics systems.
Our vehicle database primarily uses original data. A pre-requisite is to have a good relationship with vehicle manufacturers, authorities and organisations within the industry around the world. We have invested heavily in building up this network over many years and now functions as a collaboration partner for global system suppliers, manufacturers and trade associations.
